Carlisle Soap Co Stays UK-Only: Here’s Why

Hey everyone, Josh here from Carlisle Soap Co.

It’s been an incredible 18 months since we started this journey, crafting soaps that love your skin and the planet just as much. Our mission’s always been to deliver something special, focusing on being as kind and eco-friendly as possible, from our choice of ingredients to our packaging.

It’s super flattering to hear from folks in the USA and EU wanting to get their hands on our soaps. Honestly, it feels amazing that our little UK brand is getting noticed so far away. But, for now, we’ve decided to keep things local and not ship internationally.

Why? Well, it boils down to staying true to our eco-conscious roots. Shipping our products overseas would mean relying on air transport, which kinda goes against the grain of what we’re all about. We’re here to make a positive impact, and we can’t ignore the environmental cost of international shipping.

I get it, it might seem like we’re missing out, but it’s about the bigger picture for us. We’re dreaming big, though! The goal is to one day grow Carlisle Soap Co to a point where we can make and ship our soaps in a way that’s as eco-friendly as possible, maybe even setting up shop on other continents to keep things local everywhere. Who knows.

For the moment, it’s about doing what feels right for the planet and sticking to our guns. It means the world to us that people from all corners are interested in what we’re doing. And while we’re saying "not yet" to shipping abroad, we’re definitely not saying "never."
